The Family Wealth Program at Melbourne Business School is practical education for family principals, next-generation leaders, family office professionals and advisers. Its six self-contained, two-day modules help participants develop their family's investment strategy.
Who is the Family Wealth Program for?
The program is for family principals, next-generation leaders, family office professionals and key advisers involved in decisions about family wealth. Families are encouraged to attend together. Non-family members are welcome when they attend with the family.
What will I learn?
The six modules cover Structuring, Tax & Estate Planning; AI for Family Offices; Investing in Shares; Property Investments; Alternative Assets; Risk & Defensive Assets. The program helps participants understand, assess and develop an investment strategy that matches their family's goals and circumstances.
When and where is Module 1?
Module 1, Structuring, Tax & Estate Planning, runs on 21–22 November 2026 at Melbourne Business School's Carlton campus in Melbourne. It is an intensive two-day module built around four family case studies.
How much does Module 1 cost?
The published Module 1 fee is $5,000 per person (AUD). Payment is on a per-module basis when each module commences.
Can I enrol in individual modules?
Yes. Each two-day module is self-contained with its own outcomes. You can enrol in modules individually and take them at your own pace. Online Q&A sessions take place between modules.
Do I need prior knowledge of tax or investment structures?
Module 1 starts from the beginning and does not assume prior knowledge of structures or tax rules. Optional primer videos on trusts, taxes and other topics are available for participants who want preparation.
When is the AI for Family Offices module?
Module 2, AI for Family Offices, is planned for February 2027. The program currently publishes the month rather than specific dates. You can reserve your place through the course registration page.
